Net-zero means not adding any new emissions to the atmosphere then is already there. Emissions will continue but will be balanced by absorbing an equivalent amount from the atmosphere to help balance the output of carbon emissions.
Goodbye Coal Generated Electricity
The UK Government has announced that it intends to bring forward the date to remove coal as a fuel to generate electricity forward. Monday the 30th of September 2024 has been marked as the “end of the coal burning era” in the UK’s energy sector.
